Tea party bookings are the daytime side of what we do. They cover the occasions where a large group needs to get somewhere together and back again in daylight hours — a family celebration, a christening, a baby shower, a milestone lunch, a group outing to a hotel or a venue outside the city.
The bus is the same 31-seat vehicle we run at night, and the booth-style seating is arguably better suited to a daytime group: everyone faces each other, so a family spread across three generations can actually talk on the journey instead of shouting over headrests. There is a toilet on board and seatbelts are fitted throughout.
The lighting and sound are there if you want them and left alone if you do not. A tea party run is normally a calmer job than a stag weekend, and we run it that way — the point is getting a group somewhere comfortably and on time.
As with every booking, it is quoted individually in euro against the route, hours and return time rather than sold as a package. There is no per-head charge, so a family group of eighteen pays the same as a group of thirty for the same run.

What goes wrong
Why daytime group transport is harder than it looks
A daytime family occasion has an element a night out does not: the guests are rarely all mobile in the same way. Older relatives, small children, people who do not drive and people who cannot park all end up in the same plan, and that plan usually resolves into three or four families making separate journeys and one person doing two round trips as a shuttle.
